My Background
I took studio art classes in clay and sculpture in college. Through the years my love of art led me to explore fused glass, welding, art quilts, silk painting, paper collage, turning wood on a lathe, and working with alcohol inks. I never tire of learning about other mediums, but working in clay has always been at the forefront of my art.

I work in many different mediums, such as high fired porcelain clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, and most recently alcohol inks. Each medium brings its own challenges. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.

My Inspiration
My pieces are inspired by nature. I have a home in the desert and a cabin in the mountains. The colors of the seasons and the diversity of plants and wildlife provide my artistic palette.

Ceramic Care
The base of each ceramic piece is constructed of high fired porcelain. Lids are lathe turned from various species of wood. Hand wash base and use a damp cloth on wood lids. Do not place in dishwasher or in microwave.
Alcohol ink Art Work
All alcohol ink art work comes matted. The matted piece measures 11 inches by 14 inches. Some pieces are framed and this is noted in the description of the work.

I have tried to capture the true essence of each piece of artwork. Alcohol inks are vibrant and brilliant and when photographed color values may shift slightly especially with the use of iridescent inks. If you have any questions please contact me.
